Financial experts shared their secrets and financial strategies with single mothers when Single Moms Planet hosted the “Smart Mommy, Smart Money” financial seminar on Saturday, January 25, 2020.
The community event was held at The Riveter, 4505 Glencoe Ave, Marina Del Rey, CA 90292. The conference was sponsored by Girl Talk, Andrea’s Healthy Kitchen, Women with Vision International, Best Seller In A Weekend, Cole Skincare for Men and Advantage Real Estate.

The event featured two panel discussions on financial wellness to improve the lives of women and their children in order to explore the importance of generational wealth building and business development.
“Smart Mommy, Smart Money” opened with a Fireside Chat with women’s leadership and financial abundance coach Alicia Dunams. Besides coaching thousands of women and hosting scores of seminars around the country, she is the author of “I Get To: How Using the Right Words Can Radically Transform Your Life, Relationships and Business,” as well as “Goal Digger” and others. Following the presentation there was a panel discussion on creating generational wealth in the family while making smart financial decisions. This was discussed on the Money Matters panel, featuring Michelle A. Avan, Western Division supervisor for Merrill Lynch; Kiesha Nix, executive director the Lakers Youth Foundation; Keith Price, founder of Obsidian Asset Management; and Catherine Garces, CEO of Andrea’s Healthy Kitchen.
A second panel followed which focused on creating multiple streams of income in a digital world, while keeping your life, business and family strong, Multi Media Mama panel featured Travis Lubinsky, founder of Flex Watches; Jessica Hall, TV personality, influencer and founder of BB Lifestyle skincare brand; Jen Betts, CEO and founder of Innovative PR; and Ana Pompa, CEO and founder of Find Sisterhood, a firm that connects women through an app to build better relationships and find solutions to various problems. The event also feature giveaways, raffles and product presentations for a variety of family-friendly items capped by a roundtable break out session involving a variety of organizations and financial leaders taking direct questions from participants.
