Founder’s Story:

Single Moms Planet was founded by model, tv personality, and television producer Neferteri Plessy. Neferteri felt firsthand the unique challenges that face single mothers looking to climb the corporate ladder, as she was raised by a working single mother. 

Neferteri began to research the effects of divorce and single motherhood, and through her studies, she learned that the most disadvantaged group in the U.S. are single mother families which according to the U.S. Census 30%  live under the poverty line. That’s when she founded the non-profit organization Single Moms Planet to end the poverty cycle in single mother households through financial literacy and business development programs. Neferteri is also the founder of SMP 100 Accelerator a breakthrough entrepreneurial, and executive business coaching program ran as the training incubator for Single Moms Planet’s grant recipients.

CO-Founder’s Story:

Cole Patterson co-founder of Single Moms Planet is an advocate for entrepreneurial mothers, working single mothers, and women in business.  She has a personal mission to support these groups of women as she understands the challenges single mother’s face with balancing family, work, and self-care.

The pressures of bootstrapping a business, raising children, and balancing life is challenging yet attainable. In 2017 Cole launched her signature brand Cole Skincare for Men, a niche brand independently funded and operated.

Cole believes every step toward generational wealth begins with having the right resources, network, and support.
